Beekeeping Fundamentals Recorded Class
Are you new to beekeeping? Trying to decide if this hobby is right for you? Wondering what all you need to know and purchase to get started with keeping bees? Beekeeping Fundamentals is a great place to begin.
Beekeeping Fundamentals is a 4 week online class series that is designed with the beginning beekeeper in mind. Topics will include: buying bees and equipment, inspecting and maintaining healthy hives, harvesting honey, and more. Each of the four recorded classes is approximately 2.5 hours in length, for a total of 10+ hours of instruction. Slide decks and other pertinent resource materials are also included. You will have access to this content through December 31, 2024.
Ellen Bell, your instructor, is also be available to answer any questions you may have; feel free to contact her via phone, text, or email as your proceed through the class material.
After making your purchase, you will receive an email with a download link to a PDF welcome letter. Be sure to print or save this letter to your computer or tablet, as it contains instructions on how to access the class material. A note about your location...
Beekeeping is a highly localized endeavor. Ellen’s expertise, and the focus of this class, is in wintering bees in Iowa; however, the techniques discussed can be applied to any similar climate. For that reason, this class is open to anyone who wants to take it, regardless of your location. Keep in mind that you may need to adjust the dates mentioned in the class to apply to your own location and seasonal timeline.
